Goodbye to 'Oda-san'! Say hello to 'Tommy Yoda'!
i realized that to learn very different foreign languages are to learn foreign cultures and to have different personalities in own's mind.i have learned english grammar.
but many friends say that my English is strange...
why? why? why?
because i think in Japanese when i write my sentences.
many languages have the word order of SVO(Subject Verb Object).English,German,Chinese, and so on.but Japanese is very different from them.
the differences are...
・We put Verb at the end of sentences.
・We sometimes don't use Verb.
・We somtimes omit Subject and Object.
・We always use Onomatope.
,and many points.
//example//
ウサギは耳が長いです。 > (No direct translation)
ウサギの耳は長いです。 > Rabbits' ears are long.(direct translation)
but many English speaker doesn't say that.
probably they say 'Rabbits have long ears.'.
Rabbits have long ears. > ウサギは長い耳を持っている(direct translation)
i can translate it.but too strange Japanese.
Fluent translation is that.
Rabbits have long noses. > ウサギは耳が長いです。
ohhh...it's difficult...(><) i can't feel sentence style in colloquialism and written language yet. I should stop thinking in Japanese. I should stop 'Oda-san'. today I become 'Mr.Oda' or 'Tommy Yoda'. these pronouncations are easy and good! ^^ it's a joke.^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; fortunately i can find good texts.
i hope these books will enable me to improve my English.^^
oppositely i heard this book is good for learner of Japanese.
i'm reading this book to teach my foreign students Japanese.

わたしはEnglishをspeakしているヤングパーソンたちのためにnew Japaneseをthinkしています。
today(きょう),わたしのmom(はは)は、me(わたし)に sayしました。(いいました。)
【そのゴミをポイしてきて。(throw away the garbages!)】
so(だから),わたしは、この idea(あいであ)を hit onしました。(おもいついきました。)
'ポイする(throw away)' is a correct Japanese verb!
ポイします、ポイしました、ポイしません、ポイするでしょう。
sayします、sayしました、sayしません、sayするでしょう。
wow!!!
so,this sentence is a correct Japanse,too.
(English > Japanese)
i am thinking new Japanese for the young persons speaking English. > わたしは Englishをspeakしているヤングパーソンたちのために new Japaneseを thinkしています。
although it is a little strange...^^;;
if you want it more natural, like this.
わたしは えいごをはなしているわかいひとたちのために あたらしいにほんごを かんがえています。
,but this method is very useful when you want to say the words that you don't remember/remind in Japanese.
let's try.
・Subjectは Complementです。
He is an Otaku. > he は an Otakuです。 > かれはオタクです。
she is kawaii. > sheは kawaiiです。 > かのじょはかわいいです。
・Suject は Verbします。
I get up. > I は get up します。 > わたしはおきます。
I sleep. > Iは sleepします。 > わたしはねます。
・Suject は Objectを Verbします。
i eat an aplle.> わたしは an appleを eatします。 > わたしは りんごを たべます。
・Suject は Object1に Object2を Verbします。
he give you a present. > he は youに a presentを giveします。 > かれは あなたに プレゼントを あげます。
do you get it?
let's try to write your diaries or sentences in Japanese.and i'll modify it to natural japanese if you want to me.^^

today is hot.
about weather.
English > Japanese
it's hot today. > きょうはあついです。
it's cold today. > きょうはさむいです。
it will be hot tomorrow. > あしたはあついでしょう。
it will be cold tomorrow. > あしたはさむいでしょう。
it was hot yesterday. > きのうはあつかったです。
it was cold yersterday. > きのうはさむかったです。
in japanese,we use 'day' as a Subject.so we sometimes mistake like this.^^;;;;
today is hot. yesterday was cold.
if you find Japanese mistake it,please forgive and point it out kindly.
hahaha.^^

Difference of Japanese and English -Part2 (ver1.1)
2.Relation between sentence patterns in English and how to translate into Japanese
If the sentence pattern is SV,we can translate into 'SはVします。'
ex2-1)
I run.(SV)
→私は走ります。(SはVします。)
If the sentence pattern is SVC,we can translate into 'SはCです。'.
ex2-2)
she is kind.(SVC)
→彼女は親切です。(SはCです。、S=C)
ex2-3)
She Loves him.(SVO)
→彼女は彼を愛します。(SはOをVします。)
ex2-4)
She gave him a present. (SVOO,S V O_1 O_2)
→彼女は彼にプレゼントをあげます。(Sは O_1に O_2を Vします。)
ex2-5)
He see her sing.(SVOC)
→彼は彼女が歌うのを見ます。(SはOがCするのをVします。)
Difference of Japanese and English Part1 (ver1.1)
1.Difference of word order
It is important for English sentences to arrange correctly.
If the word is replaced as it is,sentence doesn't work.
ex1-1)
I ate sushi at the restaurant on Friday. (Correct English,SVO)
→I sushi ate at the restaurant on Friday.(Incorrect English)
→I at the restaurant ate sushi on Friday.(Incorrect English)
If you want to change the word order, it should be reworded.
I eat Sushi at a restaurant.
→I ate sushi at the restaurant on Friday.
→On Friday I ate sushi at the restaurant.
→On Friday at the restaurant, I ate sushi.
---------
In many cases in Japanese sentences,The verb must be put on the last of sentence, but you may arrange other words as you like it.
ex1-2)
I eat Sushi at a restaurant. (SVO)
私は 食べます すしを レストランで (Literal translation,Incorrect Japanese)
→私はすしをレストランで食べます。(Correct Japanse)
I try to change the word order.
私はすしをレストランで食べます。
→すしを私はレストランで食べます。(Correct Japanse)
→すしをレストランで私は食べます。(Correct Japanse)
→レストランで私はすしを食べます。(Correct Japanse)
→レストランですしを私は食べます。(Correct Japanse)
格助詞(kakujoshi or Case-marking particle) is very important. There is not Kakujoshi in English.Kakujoshi are 'は'、'を'、'で' in this sentence, and Kakujoshi is put on behind a noun.
But,when Kakujoshi is used by mistake, sentence become a strange Japanese.
ex1-3)
私は 金曜日に レストランで すしを 食べました。(Correct Japanse)
I ate Sushi at restaurant on Friday.(Correct English)
↓
私を 金曜日に レストランで すしが 食べました。(Strange Japanse)
Sushi ate me at restaurant on Friday.(what!?)
私が 金曜日を レストランで すしに 食べました。(Strange Japanse)
I ate Friday at restaurant on Sushi.(!!!!????)
