1.(I) am (a high school student).
2.(I) 　は　(a high school student) です。
3.(わたし)　は　(こうこうせい)　です。

かのじょ　は　こうこうせい　です。（kanojo ha koukousei desu.） > She is a high scool student.
*she >かのじょ(kanojo)

かのじょ　は　めありぃさん　です。(kanojo ha Mary/mearii-san desu.) > She is Mary.

めありぃさん　は　かわいい　です。（Mary/mearii-san ha kawaii desu.） > Mary is pretty.

as you know,
When you want to ask him/her yes or no,it is Interrogative,you change 'です(desu)' into 'ですか？(desuka?)'.

*Japanese Adjective change forms,and the last word of a basic type ends by 'い(i)'.

あの　ねこ　は　かわいい　です。(ano neko ha kawaii desu.) > That cat is pretty.


when you don't know Japanese words,you can write like that,

This おとこのこ　は　Japanese です。
あの　cat は　pretty です。
